SITM: Analyzing Michigan’s QB situation heading into the 2015 spring game, addition of Iowa transfer QB Jake Rudock

The Michigan Wolverines spring football game tops the agenda during Wednesday night’s episode of Sports in the Mitten with Adam Biggers and John Gustin.

Entering Saturday’s festivities, the Wolverines are on the hunt for a starting quarterback. As of now, Alex Malzone, who was taken first among quarterbacks in the spring draft, seems to be the front-runner—for now. Shane Morris, a junior, and Wilton Speight, a redshirt freshman, are also in the mix.

But again, that’s for now. Iowa graduate Jake Rudock is reportedly transferring to Michigan and will be eligible for the 2015 season, at which point he’ll likely become the starting quarterback for coach Jim Harbaugh.

And as always, John delivers his Hot Take presented by the Torch Bar and Grill in Flint—this time on the Detroit Pistons, who are winning at the worst time possible.
