SITM: Former MSU WR Bennie Fowler of the Denver Broncos talks rookie NFL season, Peyton Manning, Spartans and haircuts

Sports in the Mitten is powered by

The guestline presents former Michigan State star WR Bennie Fowler during Friday’s candid conversation episode of Sports in the Mitten with Adam Biggers and John Gustin.

Fowler joins the show to discuss his rookie season with the Denver Broncos, who made the NFL playoffs on the strength of one Peyton Manning, and to dissect his alma mater’s showing in 2014. The Spartans pulled off one for the ages, erasing a 20-point deficit to top Baylor, 42-41, in the 2015 Cotton Bowl.  The comeback was aided by Connor Cook’s clutch TD throw to Keith Mumphery.

Cook is returning for his final year with the Spartans. But Mumphery is draft-eligible.

We’ll get Fowler’s thoughts on his former teammates and cover other MSU- and Big Ten-related topics.
