Former Michigan State star running back Le’Veon Bell will face marijuana charges after being caught with a 20-gram bag of the substance with teammate LeGarrette Blount on Wednesday in Ross Township, Pennsylvania.
Bell, the driver, admitted to the officer that the bag was his, but Blount and a female passenger also took responsibility. According to AOL.com, Bell, 22, was taken to an area hospital to have blood drawn, presumably to test the level of THC in his system.
This story is developing, but there probably won’t be much more to come from it other than a fine and maybe a couple of classes. Word to the wise: Driving around with weed in the car is a really bad idea. Reports indicated that a “strong” odor could be detected by the officer, who was on a motorcycle when he stopped Bell’s Camaro.
Bell is entering his second season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who drafted him No. 48 overall in 2013.
